About Thick Air Graphics

Thick Air Graphics & Print was founded in 2019 by graphic designer Dustin Krcatovich. As of 2024, Thick Air is a division of Golden Feelings, a diversified music services business founded by Krcatovich in 2016.
At first, the goal of Thick Air was to make lot merch for Grateful Dead-adjacent events. The name “Thick Air” is a reference to a story from the recording sessions for the band’s third record AOXOMOXOA, wherein Bob Weir famously requested that the recording engineer add “the sound of THICK AIR” to the climax of the song ‘Born Cross-Eyed‘. Early sticker and button designs, centered around different aspects of Deadhead culture, were traded among the community, primarily by mail.
Thick Air was temporarily shuttered at the onset of COVID lockdowns. In 2023, the project was relaunched to design and produce posters, stickers, buttons, t-shirts, and the like for the broader underground music and arts community.
Thick air is happy to work with musicians and artists across a variety of genres and practices. however, we have a strict “no bozos” policy: if you or your work embraces misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, fascism, objectivism, libertarianism, religious fundamentalism, D**ald Tr**p, El*n M*sk, or any other hateful, anti-human, anti-planet garbage, please take your business somewhere else. In fact, Fuck right off.
